Configuring SMTP on your CAM-AI server
If you want to send alarm emails with CAM-AI on your own server (e.g. Raspi users) you need to configure the SMTP account to use for that. Here is how to do this:
(Users of our Webbrowser App can skip this configuration. There is a preinstalled CAM-AI Mail account available.)
The hosted CAM-AI server (cam-ai.eu) described here belonged to an earlier offering for private users. This section is kept for reference only.
In the main menu, you click on “Tools” and then on “Database Admin”.
Now you select the “Settings”-table and set the 6 variables with names starting with “smtp_”. Then you reboot your server. You have now successfully configured the SMTP account on your server.
